Our Services

Services for users with special needs began in 2004 when the Makerere University was automating most of its services. The library embarked on developing an information service for students and staff with special needs. Equal opportunity goes as far as opportunities for every person to have the information he or she needs in the right time.

Our well-educated staff will help you to choose the right direction and material for your research.

We have a team of fully trained professionals, who use book binding skills and craftsmanship to produce the highest quality bound work.

The Law / Ida Collection section is located on the 4th level of the Main Library.

The Africana / Special Collection section is located on the 4th level of the Main Library.

The Digitization Unit is responsible for the workflow processes of turning analogue library materials into digital form.

Comfortable working space is highly important for students and staff, which we are happy to offer!

We have a number of ICT Labs plus photocopying facilities.
