Biography

Patrick Sekikome is a Library and Information Science professional with a Masterā€™s degree in
Information Technology (MIT) from University of Pretoria, South Africa and a Bachelorā€™s Degree
in Library and Information Technology (BLIS) from Makerere University. He is currently a
Librarian I Academic, Reference Librarian and Head Reference and Circulation Section of
Makerere University Library.
He has strong interests in Digital Marketing and currently involved in the marketing of the library
services and facilities using the different social media platforms. He also actively participates in
the training of library staff and students in information Literacy and offers support to researchers
of different categories.
He served on the Executive Committee of the Consortium of Uganda University Libraries (CUUL)
as a Publicity Secretary in 2022-2023, secretary to the Publicity Functional Committee and
secretary to the Programmes Committee 2016-2019.
