Biography

The Medical Librarian and Information Retrieval Specialist at Sir. Albert Cook Medical Library, Makerere University College of Health Sciences, plays a critical role in supporting research initiatives across the College of Health Sciences and beyond. In addition to conducting literature searches across all disciplines, she provides expertise in reference management using EndNote and Zotero and is skilled in generating reports using anti-plagiarism software. She is also an active contributor to evidence synthesis, providing methodological insights and actively working to improve evidence synthesis methods and build capacity. She is a champion of the Better Evidence program, which has donated the Up-To-Date clinical decision support tool to medical schools in Africa. She is a member of both the Medical Library Association (MLA) in the United States and the African Health Information Library Association (AHILA). In January 2025, she graduated with a Master of Science in Information Science, her research focusing on “Involvement of Medical Librarians in Systematic Reviews: The Case of the Network of African Medical Librarians” (NAML).
