Mr. Turyahebwa Silver

Mr. Turyahebwa Silver is a Library Clerk posted at College of Humanities and Social Science Library. He was first appointed to the Service of Makerere University in Jan 2001 on contract. Mr. Turyahebwa Silver studied in Muyumbu Primary School in Kabale District, St. Mary’s College Rushoroza for O level and later joined Bukinda Senior Secondary School for A level. He then joined UCC Packwach in 1998 and acquired Uganda Diploma in Business Studies (UDBS).

Due his good record of work he was appointed as a Library Assistant in 2005. He was then posted to the Main Library Reference and Circulation Section, later to Mulago Albert Cook Library. In 2010, he was transferred to CHUSS Art’s Library where he is serving to date. Mr. Turyahebwa has vast experience in identifying user’s information needs and particularly interested in shelving and shelve reading.
