Ms Annet Kibajjo Nakiganda Nuwamanya

Ms Annet is a Library Assistant working in Technical Service and Digitization Sections of the Main Library. She was first appointed in Oct. 1990 as a Library Assistant. In 1996, she was promoted to  a Senior Library Assistant after acquiring a new qualification of Certificate in Library and Information Science, Diploma in Records and Archive Management, Bachelor of Library & Information Science (EASLIS), She also has a Certificate in Administrative Law from the School of Law.

She has worked in various colleges and sections of Makerere University Library. She has worked in Technical Department for 2 years, then Africana Section for 13 years, Fine Arts Library for 3 years, School of Law Library for 7 years before coming back to Technical Department. She is enthusiastic and passionate in identifying information needs of users, expert in shelve reading and shelve organization.

Ms Annet is an Award winner for excellent service as well as long service Award for diligently serving Makerere University Library. She attended Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Course at University of Pretoria in 2015 as well as various trainings of the Library. She is an Ambassador of Makerere University Retirement Benefit Scheme (MURP) and was awarded for exceptional abilities to effectively disseminate MURPS information to staff. She is a mobilizer for the Makerere University Convocation and a good advocate for women emancipation. She is a community leader of Women’s League in Muluka II, Makerere University and a Leader in Christian Women of Makerere University.
